SHORT DESCRIPTION
Risers for filling tankers are distinguished by four main parameters:

1. Filling method (upper or lower);
2. Type of filling (sealed or unpressurized);
3. Control method (mechanized or manual control);
4. The presence of overflow protection (automated or non-automated).

With the upper method of filling, petroleum products are fed into tankers through the neck, and with the lower one - through the nozzle of the tanker.
The sealed type of filling is carried out when the neck of the tanker is closed with a special lid, from which a branch pipe connected to a hose for ejecting the vapor-air mixture into special tanks exits.
The unpressurized type of filling is used for the release of low-volatile petroleum products.
Automation tools are used to avoid accidental overflow of tankers. Filling risers are equipped with either fuel level sensors or metering valves that allow you to set the exact volume of petroleum products.
